How-To's
for Addressing the Pope
Addressing the Pope
Since the world has been without a true Pope for 40 years, from 1958-1998,
the question often arises on how we should address the pope. The
answer is simple, with only a few options:
-
Dear Holy Father, (or)
-
Your Holiness,
Offerings
The question is often asked on how one should write a check when making
an offering to the Holy See. A check should be made out to Pope
Pius XIII. If one should write a check made to his former name,
Fr. Lucian Pulvermacher, the Holy See will simply double sign it with both
names, and the bank will honor that.
Remember that Our Lord praised the widow who put her "mite" into the
Temple collection box. God rewards His servants according to their
sacrifices. Use your discretion as to your support of the Church.
Your support of the Church is really the fulfillment of the Fifth Commandment
of the Church, not just a free-will alms.
